Light Ride in Milan is an initiative organized by the lighting designers Giacomo Rossi (part of LDT) and Helena Gentili . It was held in Milan (Italy) in march and october 2015 as part of the larger container of events scheduled by L-RO, lighting related organization for the International Year of Light 2015, promoted by UNESCO.
Based on the idea of the Night Walk – a night time walking event popular in cities all over Europe, Light Ride is a night time tour of the historic city of Milan by bicycle. The event offered the opportunity to explores the relationship between artificial illumination and architecture.
